What is an FD60 fire door?
FD60 fire doors are designed to endure fire for 60 minutes, allowing occupants to evacuate safely and giving firefighters time to control and put out the fire.
FD60 doors are heavier but provide double the protection time compared to FD30 doors.
- Fire-tested to provide protection against flames for a minimum of 60 minutes.
- These doors are 54mm thick.
- Intumescent strips must be present in either the door or frame.
- Glazed screens must meet strict fire rating specifications.
